Building the Spiritual Walls of Peasedown St John
In May 2010, the St John’s Church PCC and staff held an Away Day to talk, pray and discuss about the future direction of the church. At this meeting it was decided that as a Church family we would focus on nine areas of mission and we would form nine spiritual working parties to work on building up the spiritual walls of Peasedown St John. The nine spiritual working parties are:
1. Building the spiritual walls of the Morning Service - Tom Morgan
2. Foster and develop stronger links amongst the St J's Group - David Cox
3. Outreach to the St John’s Close area of Peasedown - Matthew Street
4. Outreach to the children of Peasedown - Rob Bubyer
5. Outreach to the youth of Peasedown - Jerry Curd
6. Outreach to mums - Tina Trevett
7. Disciple the existing church family - Tina Trevett
8. Foster and develop a Christian presence in PSJ community institutions - Andy Fraser
9.Evangelism HOTS/Treasure Hunting/Alpha - Evelyn Lee-Barber
Every member of the two Peasedown St John church families are encouraged to get involved and to join one or more of these spiritual working parties with the result that each working party will have a membership of a least 8 to 12 people and a designated leader shown in italics above. If you would like to join a spiritual working party please contact the designated leader directly. The spiritual working parties meet regularly to organise their area of mission.
