Celebrating the birth of child in the St J's Group

There are now two options for celebrating the birth of a child in the Church of England.

The first is to have a traditional Baptism service. Please click here to see an example of this. A traditional Baptism service in the St J's Group will take place at one of our Sunday services where we can can welcome you and your baby into the family of the church.

Alternatively you can have a more contemporary Christening/Naming or Dedication service. Please click here to see an example of this. The contemporary Christening/Naming or Dedication service which incorporates a less onerous set of vows and can be held at a time to suit you and your family. This service can also be tailored to fit your needs and requirements. There is no charge for either of the above services, but if you do choose to have a more contemporary Christening/Naming or Dedication Service for your child a charge of £25 will be required to cover the cost of the Organist fees.
