Bath Gospel Choir to visit Peasedown - 4th December '09

BATH COMMUNITY GOSPEL CHOIR will be entertaining villagers in Peasedown St John this Christmas as part of a festive Carols by Candlelight Service at St John’s Church.

The church will host the choir, increasingly famous for their ‘food-stomping gospel’ style, who will be performing a mix of traditional carols with modern songs.

The event, which will take place entirely under candlelight, promises to be a real highlight in the village’s calendar this year.

Church Leader, the Revd Matthew Street said:

“Carols by Candlelight includes readings from the Bible in an effort to explore the reason why we celebrate Christmas every year.

We are very privileged to have the Bath Community Gospel with us. They are very talented.

If you do nothing else in December, I would encourage anyone who hasn’t seen the choir to come to our Carols by Candlelight event – they really will make it a Christmas to remember.”

Carols by Candlelight is at St John’s Parish Church, Peasedown on Sunday 13th December, starting at 5pm.
