Church album sells out in first hour - 19th Dec '09

Members of a church worship band are celebrating after their new album sold out within the first hour of being on sale.

Last week, the Soul Food Worship Band from St John’s Church in Peasedown held a special launch event to release their new album called How You love us.

Thanks to the support of the local press, radio stations and community leaders the event, which was held in the church, was packed out. As a result, all available copies of How You love us were sold on the night.

The album production and release has been led by the church’s Worship Leader Joel Sales. He said:

“I’m really pleased that our first album has been so popular.

Many people who attended our launch event came from Bath, Midsomer Norton, and even as far away as Portsmouth.

During the evening we played some of the songs, spoke a bit about the background behind the album’s production and took time to worship God with our new songs.”

Attending the event was Church Leader Revd Matthew Street. He commented:

“I hope many families this Christmas enjoy listening to How You love us. It has been put together by some very talented individuals.

All of the songs have been written by members of the Soul Food worship team and reflect their desire passion to praise God and spread the Christian message beyond the confines of the church walls.”

How You love us was recorded at Flying Pig Studios in Radstock. Run by church member Jerry Curd, the album was the first ever to be recorded at the brand new studio.

The album features twelve brand new worship songs and is available for purchase at just £7.50 (or two for £12) by contacting Joel Sales on 01761 439249.

The album can also be purchased at all of St John’s Christmas services.
