Going wild this summer - 9th August '10

Children living around Peasedown St John will have a wild time this summer in the first ever ‘Going Wild’ themed Holiday Club in the village.

Peasedown St John Churches Together is hosting the five-day long event in August to give parents a break and get local children active during the holidays.

Organising the Holiday Club is St John’s Church Children’s Worker Rob Bubyer, who said:

“We're going wild in the jungle and learning all about God's amazing creatures and introducing children to some of the stories Jesus told. Each story has a message, not only for those listening to Jesus at the time but also for us today.

Also we are having fun with playing games, doing craft, doing some messy challenges and songs.”

The Holiday Club is a free event for all Primary School aged children.

Holiday Club GOES WILD is happening from Monday 23rd to Friday 27th August. No need to pre-register your children beforehand; just turn up from 8.30am on Monday 23rd and register your children when you arrive. Each day runs from 9am to 12noon.

The village’s Methodist Minister, Michelle Ireland will be at the even in August. She added:

“This is another wonderful occasion for different people to make friends, have a great time and learn something new and exciting.”
