Merry Christmas Peasedown

Churches in Peasedown St John are working together again this Christmas to send a Christmas card to every household in the village.

Over 6,000 people will be receiving the card which, as well as sending a ‘very Merry Christmas’, will inform residents of all the events happening in the area during the festive season. The first of which is the Christmas Bazaar at St Joseph’s Catholic Church on Saturday 11th December at 10am.

The initiative has been organised by Rev Matthew Street, from St John’s Church. He said:

“Christmas is an occasion where people want to explore and learn more about the meaning of Christmas and why we celebrate it.

Christmas isn’t just about trees, presents and overeating. It’s also about the birth of Jesus Christ. The three Churches in Peasedown have joined together this year to host various events for people to learn more about Jesus’ birth and how it has meaning for our lives today.

I would encourage everyone who receives their Christmas card to explore the meaning of Christmas further and come along to one of the events listed inside.”

The card, from Peasedown Churches Together (the village’s Anglican, Catholic and Methodist Churches), and will be arriving on door-steps soon!
