Churches go radical this Sunday - 5th Sep '07

TWO Churches in Peasedown and Wellow will be having Sunday worship with a more radical edge this week.

St John’s Peasedown and St Julian’s Wellow have decided to break with the traditional way of doing things at Harvest and will be having a treasure hunt and apple bobbing competitions instead.

The Vicar of both Churches, Matthew Street said;

“These aren’t just for the kids either. We’re putting on these games at both Churches so we really can celebrate harvest in style. Yes, we will be breaking break and having a harvest supper but also intend to have a laugh as well. Following our recent successful holiday kids club, which in total over 100 people took part in, we believe that fun and activities such as these are another way of worship – another way of doing Church.”

Harvest games and celebrations will begin in Wellow at 10.45am this Sunday and 4.30pm in Peasedown.

Anyone and everyone are welcome!
