Churches Offer Free Advice to Villagers - 25th April '08

VILLAGERS in Peasedown St John and Wellow are to be offered free advice on how to turn their lives around in 27 steps.

A new programme, put together by local Church Leader Matthew Street and Church staff, has been designed for residents to have an opportunity to tackle life’s most deepest and challenging questions.

‘Turn Your Life Around in 27 Steps’ will be launched on Sunday 4^th May in St John’s Church in Peasedown and St Julian’s Church in Wellow.

Local Vicar Revd Matthew Street says the programme will last eight months and will appeal to all sorts of people:

“Have you ever felt depressed? Abandoned? Felt as though you were a complete failure, experienced guilt or wondered why your life is in such a mess? These are the kind of questions many of us ask, including myself, everyday. What can add to these feelings is the thought that were are the only people that have experienced them. This isn’t the case! These kind of questions are asked by many people everyday.

One of the roles of the Church is to work with people to address these issues, to serve people’s emotional and spiritual needs.”

Details about the programme will be sent to every house in Peasedown and Wellow by the Church in the form of an A3 glossy flyer. A full week-by-week guide to the topics covered will feature along with information about other Churches activities.
